ABO “Open Letter to Optometrists” urges ODs to work together
August 20, 2012With nearly 1,000 ODs certified and a favorable ruling by a federal judge earlier this month, the American Board of Optometry has issued an “Open Letter to Optometrists.” The statement, calling for an end to “vitriol” and likening the board certification effort to the profession’s work toward diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical authority in the past, was signed by all ABO board members.
