It’s my understanding that the e prescribing code can only be submitted on a claim for an office visit, with the G8553 going on the line right below the office visit. Most refills probably will not count. Luckily, only 25 are required during the reporting period, so this should not keep you from qualifying for the 2% e prescribing bonus.
