AP says B&L lawsuit settlements nearing 600

The Associated Press today says that B&L has settled nearly 600 lawsuits related to the Fusarium keratitis outbreak, costing the company more than $250 million. The AOA was instrumental in raising public awareness of the need for proper lens hygiene and compliance in the months following. According to AP, seven people had to have an eye removed and at least 60 required corneal transplants.
